There have been several interviews and features with and about me this year. It is a good timing to link some sessions and interviews that are available for you to see here, as today marks the day that a great new episode of “Im Fokus” just came out. Featuring yours truly. So in case you haven’t seen these videos, yet, take your time, sit back and enjoy.
Instagram ist nicht alles! - Im Fokus: Kai Hornung
Fellow German photographer and YouTuber Stefan Schäfer and German pro photographer Felix Röser invited me to photograph together, have us been filmed by a film crew and do a feature about me for their “Im Fokus” series. I think the show (in German language) turned out great and it was just so much fun getting into all sorts of topics in the included interview. We easily broke the one hour mark while talking about how I got started with photography, how I balance a full time job and being a photographer as side job, how my photography has changed over time, my thoughts and opinions about social media and Instagram in special and lots more. We also did a short image review.
All well worth watching here. And it is not only available on YouTube but also on Spotify and iTunes to listen to as podcast.
Mads and Kai talk landscape photography: A numbers game?
My good friend, famous photographer and YouTuber Mads-Peter Iversen interviewed me in a great and intimate episode of his rare interviews on his YouTube channel.
We chatted away from how we got to know each other, how we both made our way in photography, share a similar passion for minimal images, what music has to do with photography and lots more.
Watch this almost one hour long conversation here.
Exploring Light - In Conversation with Kai Hornung
When the world went on a global lockdown due to Covid, the Exploring Light team from India invited me for a 2 hours long live interview and live presentation about me and my art. My Norwegian friend and fellow photographer Hans-Gunnar Aslaksen joined me on this show. I felt especially honored to be in this format as photographers like Erin Babnik, Ryan Dyar, Alex Norriega, Ted Gore, TJ Thorne, Enrico Fossati, Mads-Peter Iversen and many others had been on in other episodes as well.
The 2 hours marathon about my work and how I got to where I am is here.
