Biblical sea (Spain 2022, edit 2024)Biblical sea (Spain 2022, edit 2024)This one was interesting. As I usually do during the editing process I zoom in and out of an image. Usually this helps with identifying inconsistencies in an image. It also helps checking if the flow I want to have in an image is strong enough. Here zooming out into thumbnail size presented the entire direction and meaning of the image to me.I saw what I hadn't noticed before: the story and inner narrative in this intimate nature shot. All of a sudden I saw a classic painting of a crashing wave with heavenly light above. This revelation in the early stages of image processing gave me a clear vision and intent. Something that took the image way further than the original impulse and vision I had while photographing it. Something that makes the image much more than what you see right in front you.
